Family Carers Ireland is a national charity that supports 355,000+ family carers across the country, who care for loved ones such as children or adults with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail older people, the terminally ill or those suffering from chronic illnesses or addiction.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Family Carers Ireland wanted to provide training and support to all those people who care so much for others, but may not take the time to care for themselves.
Taking the time to learn about self-care is often overlooked by carers, who tend to prioritise the needs of others before their own.
what type of course we create
In partnership, we created a blended eLearning programme that provides information, motivation and inspiration for carers to look after their own well-being.
The course involves a blended approach of virtual delivery with the guidance of an specialised self-care instructor and diverse online learning modules.

THE BENEFITS
This dedicated self-care awareness programme for Family Carers Ireland increases the awareness of carers’ wellness and mental health.
People taking the course can learn about important personal skills such as taking time to connect with other people, finding ways to be active every day, and the relevance of continuing to learn new skills.
