Cobblestone worked together with BSI subject matter experts to convert their classroom courses into online learning, reimagining the content using videos, images, interactivity, assessments and so much more.

THE learning goals
A key goal in offering this online training is to reach and engage customers that would otherwise not attend the classroom due to scheduling challenges or travel costs. This helps with BSI’s market penetration and has a positive impact on the overall revenue stream.
A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH
Having decided to enhance its training capabilities with the addition of an online offering, BSI selected Cobblestone Learning as a trusted partner.
Our Cobblestone team lead by our lead instructional designer and project managers, worked on a daily basis with BSI’s project manager and subject matter experts at all stages of planning and developing the courseware.

ISO standards 14001, 9001, 50001 and 45001 were identified for the first phase of the project. In each case, two sets of courses were designed, the first one focused on the requirements of the standard, with a second covering key technical issues pertaining to the subject of the standard.
Courses are made up of modules typically ranging in duration from about 15 to 30 minutes of interactive eLearning. In total over 50 eLearning modules were created.
what type of courses were createD
In partnership with the team at BSI we developed an online offering which helped BSI to meet its internal training requirements. Self-paced modularized eLearning means that staff can access standardized training at times that work with their busy schedules.
Because it is completely scalable, trainer resources are not impacted by patterns of demand. And its modular structure means that staff can learn or refresh specific topics in a timely manner, or even create their own training paths from the modules included.

SOME FEATURES OF THE COURSES INCLUDE:
- Animated video is used to introduce each module in a lively manner that immediately engages the learner’s attention.
- Learners navigate the course while the spoken narration is supported with helpful illustrations and diagrams.
- The frequent inclusion of knowledge checks and exercises ensures that learners can have confidence in their levels of retention.
‘Practitioner Insights’ that relate the content to real world experience and add invaluable context are provided courtesy of experts from the field.
